Day 20: Saying Goodbye…for now

Day 20: Saying Goodbye…for now

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 20 Today was an absolutely glorious day! We went to brunch at Black Bear Diner with our family before they departed.  It was an absolute 10!  Even digestion-wise!  🙂  I got the ‘Big Bear’ breakfast with a waffle (to which I added fruit/cream), scrambled eggs, and instead of getting the meat that came with it, I got red potatoes.  It was delectable!  And, honestly, it was the best waffle I had ever eaten!!!  I hate…

Day 19: Leeds to St. George

Day 19: Leeds to St. George

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 19 This was a very warm and beautiful Sunday. It started out with plumbing problems.  We have a crack in our black tank, which we had already known about.  But that isn’t what our plumbing problems were this day. Fresh Water Tank:  Where the clean water is stored. Gray Tank:  Where the dirty sink/shower/laundry water is stored. Black Tank:  where the potty stuff goes.  A necessary yuck! So we knew that we have a crack…

Day 18: Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, and Craziness

Day 18: Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, and Craziness

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 18 Today was glorious, again.  The high was about 84 (87) degrees. And blue sky and thin clouds like yesterday. Today we took our family and started out on a drive to The Valley of Fire in Nevada. It took us about 2 hours to get there. And it is absolutely awesome! Think Moab. Red Rock. Cool holes in the rocks. Arches. That kind of stuff. I think I even like it better than Moab….

Day 17: Glitter Mountain, Zions and Friend Time

Day 17: Glitter Mountain, Zions and Friend Time

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 17   It was a beautiful and slightly ‘cloudy’ day. AND super warm! The clouds were this really light white whispy stuff that still let the sunshine through.  (Even though this is the morning temperature picture I took at like 10ish, it warmed up to almost 80*!) We are entertaining some of our immediate family that are visiting from out of town. Ben took the day off so we could spend the day with them….

Day 16: Family Time

Day 16: Family Time

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 16 Today was awesome!  It was the warmest it has been in the last 2 weeks. I look forward to the next couple of days with great excitement (we have some awesome things planned and the weather is supposed to be fantastic)! We have some of our immediate family visiting (and staying with us) from out of town.  It’s kind of fun to have our first guests, here (in our motorhome). We actually have quite…

Day 15: Journal vs. Journey

Day 15: Journal vs. Journey

In a 24 hour period, I had 9 people read my last blog post that took me over 2 hours to complete.  And it made me sad.  And feel worthless.  So, I decided that I am writing these for me.  I don’t know if I’ll continue to share them on facebook, But I’ll look at this as a Journal for myself, for now. Location:  St. George, Utah Day 15 Today was glorious!  It was the warmest it has been the…

Day 14 – Warner Valley

Day 14 – Warner Valley

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 14 Today was a beautiful day. We arranged with some of our family members to go to Warner Valley and check out Fort Pearce and the Dinosaur Tracks.  Here are a bunch of pictures of our visit and travels. I thought this picture of the 4 different jet streams, the mountains and the sunshine was rad, and had to share it. The sexy hubby and the awesome mountain and sand.          These are…

Day 13 Helping People and Making Friends

Day 13 Helping People and Making Friends

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 13   Today was colder than it has been for the last weekish.  All the wind must have blown in a cold front.  It was still beautiful and sunshiney all day…just on the cold end. Today I slept.  A lot.  I’m not sure if my body is in a healing phase, or what.  But I’m just feeling a loss of energy, and also somewhat downtrodden (not generally at the same time).  It is not all…

Day 6

Day 6

Location:  St. George Day 6 Today was pretty cloudy.     But it was still warm. There have been a few raindrops here and there. Today I just kind of hung out (while Ben was working) doing random stuff.  We did our first and second loads of laundry in our machine (last night – which isn’t typical at all for us to do laundry on a Sunday – and today).  We have an all-in-one washing and drying machine.  Yes, it…

Day 5 The Beauties of two kinds of Churches

Day 5 The Beauties of two kinds of Churches

Location:  St. George Day 5 Today was a super glorious day! (Besides the gorgeous weather, I love the contrast between colors and mountains and rocks.  All the cool colors and different textures…it’s just spectacular!  Especially with the contrast like today of the beautiful blue sky!!!!!) We never got a call back from the Bishop whose ward (a Church congregation in a certain physical boundary area) we are actually in the boundaries of (so we didn’t know what address or time…
