Day 7

Day 7

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 7 Today was a glorious day!  Blue skies and sunshine. And it felt really warm because of the combination of the sun and the temperature.  I am so grateful!!! Today I got a few random things done… I did another load of laundry in our combo washer/dryer. It’s such an interesting machine.  And I am grateful for it! This is what our washer/dryer looks like. Right now, as I type this, it is working on…

Day 6

Day 6

Location:  St. George Day 6 Today was pretty cloudy.     But it was still warm. There have been a few raindrops here and there. Today I just kind of hung out (while Ben was working) doing random stuff.  We did our first and second loads of laundry in our machine (last night – which isn’t typical at all for us to do laundry on a Sunday – and today).  We have an all-in-one washing and drying machine.  Yes, it…

Day 5 The Beauties of two kinds of Churches

Day 5 The Beauties of two kinds of Churches

Location:  St. George Day 5 Today was a super glorious day! (Besides the gorgeous weather, I love the contrast between colors and mountains and rocks.  All the cool colors and different textures…it’s just spectacular!  Especially with the contrast like today of the beautiful blue sky!!!!!) We never got a call back from the Bishop whose ward (a Church congregation in a certain physical boundary area) we are actually in the boundaries of (so we didn’t know what address or time…

Day 4 – Kolob Canyons

Day 4 – Kolob Canyons

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 4 The internet was being really stupid last night, so I just did a Facebook post with only a couple of pictures.   Here is what I posted, and I will add more details after. Sometimes your Internet is stupid and you just don’t want to mess with its ridiculousness in order to post Day 4. Rest assured, it will be posted. Just at a less stupid time. I’ll give a brief synopsis, here, instead….

Suburban Water Heater Repair – Faulty Switch

Suburban Water Heater Repair – Faulty Switch

One of the joys of “home” ownership is the repairs that are involved with it.  After we purchased Bessy, we spent time cleaning her, packing her and doing some repairs.  One of the repairs that came up was the hot water heater.  The gas side it it was working fine, but when I tried to use the electric, it didn’t work. A couple of days before we left, I decided to give this a shot at fixing it.  What I…

Day 3

Day 3

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 3 It was seriously a beautiful day!  Blue skies and only a few clouds. (I didn’t really get any photos until tonight.) It was on the cool end, again…or should I say ‘still’?  Though our last residence is facing even colder temperatures.  And snow.  You can’t forget all the snow on the ground still. Today went kind of like yesterday did: me working on things while Ben worked. I got spoiled.  In our last house,…

Day 2

Day 2

Location:  St. George, Utah Day 2 of our stay Today was beautiful with blue skies, loads of white puffy clouds, baby breezes and sunshine… but it was a much colder day than yesterday.  The wind from last night obviously blew in a cold front. (Taken at about the same time as last night…give or take an hour or so…. Remember? it was 60 degrees!) Most people probably don’t know this, but we were not ‘ready’ to go.  At least physically….

The Beginning

The Beginning

The Beginning Destination:  St. George, Utah Here is our 61 foot (total) rig and ride.  It is massive! Our motorhome is a beautiful 2002 41 foot Tiffin Allegro Diesel Pusher Bus. It has 2 slides, and is in pretty great condition for the age.  (We must have looked at about 50 motorhomes before we settled on this beauty.  We walked in, and pretty much knew it was the bus for us!) These are our cute faces at the very beginning….
